Clinical yoga
Individualized movement and yoga-based practice.
After a chiropractic assessment, you and your chiropractor may decide that a yoga-based approach is an appropriate way to deliver the active-care component of your treatment.
This may take the form of an approximately 30-minute yoga flow within your one-hour appointment. For example, movements such as planks and those commonly grouped as McGill’s Big Three (bird dog, side plank, and abdominal curl-up) may be connected into one cohesive flow and adapted to your assessment, experience, and goals.
The appointment remains chiropractic care and is billed under a chiropractic billing code rather than as a separate yoga service. This format may offer variety for people who are new to yoga, experienced yoga practitioners, or those looking for individualized guidance about how to adapt their practice.
